24 works for group exhibition "Mir Händs Nötig" / 2013
With around 25 other artists I joined this exhibition of anonymous art at the alternative space in Zurich "Starkart", known for its support of street art. Curated by someone I'll refer to as Anonymous Curator, the idea was a healthy statement against the art establishment and methods of high-end galleries. Having raided our studio for a selection of my own works, joint works with MM and DAF and a piece by WB, I installed them around the multiple rooms, presenting in the end 24 pieces or installations (see below). No names were attached to anyone's artworks and over the following month visitors were invited to place sticky dots adjacent to things they most liked (green) or disliked (red). On the closing night an auction was planned and buyers would be able to take home their prizes with a minimum fuss and paperwork. The concept was super and the experience had been a pleasure up until this point. But on the night things went seriously pear-shaped, nobody knew what was going on, embarrassment reigned and I for one fell out memorably with Anonymous Curator, Anarchy indeed.
