FILM DOUBLES
Cinematic experiment
Run two films side by side at the same time. Set up with two video-projectors or two screens with DVDs. Play around a while until you are ready to invite an audience. I like to use an original and a remake of the same film, but connected films are also good, i.e. Dangerous Liaisons and Valmont. To get an idea, press play on both the links below. Set the volumes at the same level. Particularly rewarding are moments when images and sounds from each correlate so well it's as if they were made to be shown that way. This chance element is key.
