1992 - 93
My first creative venture designed to support myself on moving to Berlin in '92. There is no documentation, but glad to have this fellow as a reminder, the Love Lion complete with poem written on his back, hanging now in my parents' garage. I made about a hundred, various sizes, the larger ones from fired clay. Dinosaurs, goblins, Frankenstein's Monsters... The Love Lion was a "poetry puppet", moulded from plaster in silicone, painted in acrylics. I sold them at the art markets around Berlin... or tried to.
